About Bushra Bibi
I am originally from Mansehra in Pakistan, Mansehra is close to some of the tallest mountains in the world, including the amazing Himalayas, it’s like living near a giant natural playground of mountains!
I study how to keep people and communities healthy which makes me a public health researcher, currently studying as a doctoral candidate in Menzies Institute of Medical Research, UTAS.
Have you ever wondered why we wash our hands, eat healthy food, or get vaccines? That’s all part of public health! I work on ways to stop diseases from spreading, support people to make healthier choices, and help ensure everyone has a fair chance to be healthy. I also focus on improving care for people living with Parkinson’s disease.
I love public health research because I can help lots of people at once, not just one person. Even small changes can make a big difference for whole communities. Simple habits like washing your hands properly and getting enough sleep can help keep you strong and healthy.
I’m always curious about how everyday choices—like what we eat and how active we are—can help us feel happier, stronger, and full of energy!
